Bank Holiday weekend ringing

It has been a fantastic few days of ringing with EDRG at both Ripon Parks and Nosterfield Quarry Reed Bed with some real highlights including the first ever Kingfisher at Ripon Parks and other great migratory birds being ringed. Species included, Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, Nuthatch, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Redstart, Garden Warbler, Kingfisher, Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Swallow, Blackcap, Reed Bunting and more.

Total number of new birds ringed at Ripon Parks in August is as follows;

306 new birds were ringed in August at Ripon Parks, Nosterfield Quarry Reed Beds and at the swallow roost in Sharow. Nosterfield Quarry Reed Bed as follows.
